Bayern Munich is the league leader and they visit the Allianz Arena on Friday night where they will play Borussia Mönchengladbach in a major Bundesliga match.
Bayern are still on the winning streak towards another Bundesliga championship and are in a comfortable position at the top of the table with 63 points. Their oppressors on the other hand, are in the lower end of the table with 25 points and just three points above the relegation-playoff line.
As the two teams have very different goals to pursue in this season, the clash on Friday will provide excitement, goals, and plenty of drama.
Bayern Munich seeking another Bundesliga title.
Bayern Munich has shown excellent results under the leadership of manager Vincent Kompany who seem to be in a good position to win another title in the Bundesliga.
The current 11 point lead that the Bavarians have over the second placed Borussia Dortmund means that they are squarely in the title race. All that Bayern needs to do is to score 20 more points in order to mathematically rival the championship with 10 games to go.
Bayern head into this match with a good level of confidence, having won 3 goals against Borussia Dortmund on 28 February. This victory was the fifth successive win in every competition, which indicates the strong momentum.
Although Bayern have been on the offensive, the defence has at times been seen to be weak. The German giants have given up ten goals within the past eight games and have not maintained clean sheet within the past seven matches back at home.
However, their track record at the Allianz Arena is still imposing. Bayern have already contested 17 matches at home and have won all but 15 of them, however they had a shocking 2 goals to 1 loss to Augsburg in January.
Bayern have been a force to reckon with, offensively. The club is currently set to achieve 125 goal in the Bundesliga, which will become the highest goal in the league after Bayern has achieved 101 goals in the season which stands at present in the hands of the club itself.
Gladbach struggling to keep out of the relegation mess.
In the case of Borussia Mönchengladbach, the position is much more dangerous.
The Foals are led by Eugen Polanski and are at the bottom half of the table and are still too close to the relegation zone.
A dramatic penalty at the 94th minute saw Gladbach win a crucial 1 goal to 0 game against Union Berlin in their final match. Although the late goal netted all the three points, the performance exposed the current front of goal problems in the team.
Gladbach had a rough streak before that victory as they had lost four matches and been tied in three of their last seven games in the league.
Their form out of the country has been worrying. Borussia Mönchengladbach have already lost four and drawn two of their past six away games, and they have not been able to get the goals regularly, not scoring at least three of their past seven games.
To further make their situation difficult, they have a bad history against Bayern in recent years. Gladbach have lost five games in a row against the Bavarians with the last one being 3-0 earlier on this season.
Key Players to Watch
Harry Kane (Bayern Munich)
Harry Kane is an English striker who still has a sensational campaign in Germany.
Kane is the most dangerous striker in the league as he has only played 24 games and already scored 30 goals in the Bundesliga. He is the greatest attacking weapon in Bayern due to his consistency, positioning and clinical finishing.
Michael Olise (Bayern Munich)
Michael Olise, a creative winger, has also played a major role in the offensive play of Bayern contributing 16 assists and 10 goals this season. His innovativeness and capacity to open the doors to defenses might be decisive.
Luis Díaz (Bayern Munich)
Luis Diaz is a Colombian winger who has provided both goals and assists to the attack of Bayern with pace and unpredictability.
Haris Tabakovic (Gladbach)
To the visitors, the primary strike threat will be striker Haris Tabakovic and it will have to be on his part in case Gladbach manage to haunt Bayern.
Team News
Bayern Munich is also likely to continue without a seasoned goalkeeper Manuel Neuer who is still recovering after being injured on his calf. Jonas Urbig is a young shot-stopper who is likely to maintain his deputisation.
Defensive left-back Alphonso Davies is also injured, which implies that Konrad Laimer might have to cover up once again.
The seasoned team of Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka is likely to make midfield the core of the team.
Borussia Mönchengladbach will also lose suspended midfielder Yannik Engelhardt, and this may result in Rocco Reitz and Kevin Stöger playing the central partnership in the midfield.
In the meantime, there are no attacking alternatives available in form of Robin Hack and Tim Kleindienst who are injured.
Possible Starting Lineups
Bayern Munich (4-2-3-1)
Urbig; Stanisic, Upamecano, Tah, Laimer;
Kimmich, Goretzka;
Olise, Musiala, Diaz;
Kane.
Borussia Mönchengladbach (4-3-3)

Head-to-Head Record
Bayern Munchen is highly favoured by the recent history. The Bavarians have won the past five encounters between the two teams and even the previous season was won by the latter 3-0.
This preeminence provides another psychological edge on the part of the hosts into the match.
Match Prediction
Bayern Munich will be clear favourites in this match considering they are in an incredible attacking form and have a high record in the home.
Borussia Mönchengladbach can be a bit problematic, particularly in a counter, although their sporadic nature and their inability to control away indicates that they will have problems holding back the attacking power of Bayern.
Prediction:
Bayern Munich 4-1 Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Having players such as Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Diaz in full form, Bayern must not lack quality in order to get another victory as they proceed in their quest to win their third Bundesliga title.
